The terms on which the raw record of an edition is sent, and what may be done with it.

The record of an edition as sent on request: every model answer in full, every label the judge wrote with its evidence quote, the vendor table it was scored under, and the files built from them (the CSV tables, the SQLite file and the README). It covers every edition sent from 4 October 2026, the September and October 2026 records included.
It does not cover the pages, the standings or the method files. Those are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license and their terms are on the Terms of Use. A copy of the September or October 2026 record obtained before 4 October 2026, when they were offered for download under CC BY 4.0, keeps those terms.
The record is sent at the index’s discretion, by exception, for research or reporting. A company reading the index for itself does so through the subscriber app, whose reporting it may use as it likes under the Terms of Use.
Reading, analysing and reproducing the record for the research or reporting it was sent for.
Publishing what comes of it: findings, figures, charts, tables and quotations drawn from the record, crediting the index, the edition and the address (HR AI Recommendation Index, October 2026 Edition, hr-ai-index.com) with a link. A finding sent back through the contribute page is credited there.
Commercial use: using the record in a product or a service, or in work done for or sold to someone else.
Redistribution: passing the record, or a substantial part of it, to anyone else, in any form, including as a derived table or database that could stand in for it.
Model training: using the record, or anything derived from it, to train, tune or distil a model, or to build a dataset for that.
Each of these is agreed in writing, case by case. Write to index@hr-ai-index.com with what it is for.
The record is the measurement the pages are built from, and it is sent as it was published. Nothing in this license gives anyone a say in a label, a share, a rank or a verdict. The Disclaimers apply to the record as to the pages: it records what models answered, and it is not advice.
A record sent under this license may be used for as long as its use stays within it. A use outside it ends the license for that copy.
